Windsor, Berks (PRWEB) December 23, 2010

With gadgets set to be a firm feature in many people's Christmas stockings this week - one retailer recently said that sales of electronic gadgets such as computer games and iPods have outstripped sales of traditional gifts* - protecting them should be at the top of your New Year's resolutions, says iPhone insurance provider Protect your bubble.

Stephen Ebbett, a spokesman from the gadget insurance firm, cites just how much gadgets are a top seller this Christmas, possibly fuelled by many retailers having pre-Christmas sales, so making them even more affordable:

New Years' Finance Resolutions and iPhone Insurance: Don't Scrimp on Your Cover, Warns Provider

Windosr, Berks (PRWEB) January 7, 2011

- The New Year is traditionally a time for clean starts, whether it is ditching a bad habit or vowing to lose weight and / or get fit etc. Reviewing finances may be at the top of many people's New Years' resolutions, particularly in the current economic climate. However, warns iPhone insurance Protect your bubble (http://www.protectyourbubble.com/ip-iphone-insurance.html), ditching or scrimping on your iPhone insurance in a bid to save money may not be a sensible idea.

Stephen Ebbett from the gadget insurance website says that smartphone owners potentially face two issues which could mean they end up paying more than they have to if something happens to their iPhone. These issues are not having their device insured and having it insured - but paying too much for the cover.

"Firstly," explains Mr. Ebbett, "some people may feel that gadget insurance is a waste of money. However, to replace a lost or damaged iPhone could cost you anywhere from

DocLanding Goes Mobile with New iPhone App

Omaha, Nebraska (PRWEB) November 17, 2011

DocLanding, the leading innovator in cloud document management, today announced the release of DocLanding Mobile, an app that allows iPhone users to easily access files and collaborate on projects.

"Finally iPhone users have an app that allows them to quickly store, search and share documents in a secure environment," DocLanding CEO Timothy Campbell said. "Now you don't have to wait to capture and store a receipt or immediately share an idea. The wait while you power up your laptop, login and find the document you need, is over. DocLanding Mobile allows you to access all of your digital content from your iPhone. The whole process can be done in seconds."

The iPhone app, available free through iTunes, is just the latest indication that the Omaha-based company is becoming an aggressive player in the cloud-based content market.

"It just makes sense to use what we learned on the enterprise side and bring it to the businesses and consumers who have a daily need to collaborate on projects and access documents, but don't have huge IT budgets," Campbell said. "We feel that we fill a gap in the market for those people who want an affordable option for easily storing and sharing documents without worrying about security."

Thirteen million files have been stored on DocLanding's US-based private cloud and the company's clients include thousands of independent users along with city and county governments, rail, medical and financial services firms.

The app announced today brings the power of DocLanding to mobile Apple devices. The "Mobile Preview" feature allows users to view numerous file types right from an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. From the preview screen, DocLanding Mobile users can print wirelessly to AirPrint enabled printers, bookmark pages and email documents. The "Recently Added Files" feature provides a quick snapshot of new content.

"DocLanding Mobile means I don't have to remember to do things later," Campbell said. "I can answer emails immediately, capture my ideas, upload them to DocLanding and sync them with my PC. I can take care of almost all of my business right from my iPhone."

AppFest Lets iPad, iPhone App Fans Meet Their Maker

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) June 23, 2010

Today, Kagan Media Net announced it is launching AppFest, a live outdoor show with 100 developers and their Apps for iOS, the wildly successful mobile application platform for iPhone, iPod Touch, and now iPad.

The first show is scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 2010, in Waltham, MA, with a second show lined up for Saturday, October 23, in Sunnyvale, CA. Each show will feature a unique set of exhibitions, entertainment and ideas. Developers and users can learn more at http://www.AppFest.net

The purpose of AppFest is to provide a live forum for developers to meet with users in order to improve their products, and understand how their customers use their apps. It will also serve as an opportunity to promote their apps, find new talent, meet potential partners, and learn about new technologies.

iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch enthusiasts will enjoy seeing the latest apps, some of which have been developed locally. They will have an opportunity to see new apps before they buy, know what future releases will bring, and get to know the developers of their favorite apps. There will also be autograph signing, live entertainment, prizes and much more.

AppFest will feature pavilions for gaming, entertainment, business, music, arts, education, travel, health & lifestyle, as well as developer support for the corporate community, live entertainment, prizes and much more. Eventually, the show will grow to ten cities in the U.S. and overseas.

While Apple has its Worldwide Developers Conference each year, the information only flows one way. IDG has the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, but that is a huge show with hardware dominating the landscape. AppFest in contrast, is a more intimate, traveling show that focuses on content.

According to show manager David Kagan:

AppFest is a big celebration of the mobile information revolution. Our outdoor AppFest is a forum for developers and users to meet, learn from each other, and enhance their enjoyment and productivity in life. Because Apple made these products so beautiful and easy to use, the world is a better place, so come and have a good time at AppFest.

In the fast-growing and competitive marketplace for mobile devices, Apple is far in the lead, with more than 30 million devices sold that run iOS, as well as over 200,000 apps available on iTunes. While other platforms such as Googles Android, Blackberry and Palm are pumping new devices, online storefronts, and programming tools, Apple has a growing legion of users, including over 35,000 developers worldwide, and the hottest devices on the planet, such as iPhone 4 and iPad.

Potential exhibitors and sponsors can get more information by calling 1-508-333-4153 or by going to http://www.kaganmedia.net/AppFest. Tickets will go on sale at the beginning of August, and are expected to be limited to 1,000 for the premiere on the east coast, which will be held in Waltham MA.
